After more than two years of exclusive partnership with Fred Goudon, Parisian gay magazine Sensitif decided to expand its lineup of contributing photographers, starting with sculptural beauty expert David Vance.

Sensitif picked two of Vance’s ‘gods’: Levi Poulter (below), who covers the December 2008 issue of the magazine, and the Calvin Klein underwear-toting guy above, who caused a stir over at the Charmants.com household.

Is this how the gods of the antique would look today? The excavated greek Kouros statues and the bronzes of Pagan temples that returned in the Renaissance inspired Michelangelo, Donatello, then the painters of the 19th century, and many of today’s masters of homoerotic photography. But David Vance is probably the current best expert at expressing such timeless beauty, with the kind of precision you usually encounter in classic painting and sculpture.
