Jérémy’s surfing was solid enough to blow reigning ASP World Tour champion Mick Fanning out of the water earlier this month in Trestles, California. The 20-year-old Reunion Island native now enjoys a world rating of 10, and has his sights set on the top spot, even if he knows that failure is always possible: “I felt really good last year in California and I arrived in France thinking I could do even better, but finally it was my worst result of the season. I’ll handle the event differently this year. I won’t pressure myself too much, and try to be more relaxed.”
