24-year-old Nikola Karabatic is probably the most talented of them all. And the sexiest too (he will appear in the 2009 edition of erotic French calendar Les Dieux du Stade). Born in Serbia (then Yugoslavia), the Number 13 in the French team arrived in France at age 4. He quickly demonstrated an amazing precocity, by playing in the French League (with Montpellier) at just 17, gaining his first national selection at just 18 and winning the Champions League (still with Montpellier Handball) at 19.
Meanwhile, Cristiano was feeling proud of having won the Golden Shoe Award after scoring 31 goals in Premier League and becoming Europe’s top scorer. And since the European Sports Magazines association let the 23-year-old choose where he wanted to receive the trophy, the ceremony took place last Saturday night in his hometown of Funchal, capital of the Madeira Islands of Portugal.
And guess what he did on Sunday? He lost the suit, the shirt and the shoes to take a dip.
Seen on Italian blog River “700 grams of bullshit (recyclable)”, this video where an Italian youth apparently bet his friends that he could stay 5 minutes under a cold shower — ice-cold even, judging by the way poor Salvi signs himself.
The only Italian we actually understood is the final countdown. But we reckon the comments and encouragements of Salvi’s mocking friends deserve a full translation. Can you help?
The Swiss city of Zurich is where Walter Pfeiffer lives. His friends, his habits and his main gallery are all there. The boys are more difficult to approach. “It takes time to convince one and get him to pose. You have to try and try again. They are really more reserved,” he explains. “But I have some models that trust me there, and we work together really well.”
Some of the models featured in the exhibit became his friends. He watched them grow older, get married and have children. An emotional proximity that certainly is a key factor in the beauty of these portraits.
