Zac Efron is selling tickets big time: the third installment of the High School Musical Disney franchise has taken record advance bookings with £500,000 worth of tickets sold ahead of its UK release on October 22 — Zac’s fans on this side of the drink will have to wait two more days.
But the 20-year-old actor — 21 next week — is also selling magazines by the bucket-load. Entertainment Weekly’s ‘photo issue’ is tapping Zac’s increasing star power and interestingly maturing beauty. They also announce cryptically that he “has big plans for his career” right after starring in their photo editorial.
Could it be the recently envisioned comedy involving James Franco and Gus Van Sant? Well, we’re not quite ready to bet the farm on that, though it would certainly be big enough to please us.
